For local church members who want to do a better job using Scripture to disciple and help others. Introduction to Biblical Counseling defines Biblical counseling and covers seven essentials for more effective discipleship: building a good relationship, giving hope, gathering information, interpreting data, providing biblical instruction, obtaining a commitment to work at change, and practical application of what has been learned. Offered on site at Grace Baptist Church in Plover, or live streamed online. Instructor of this weekend class: Pastor Steven Svendsen, ACBC.
Students who successfully complete our Basic Skills seminar and six classes will have completed the educational requirement toward certification with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC-formerly NANC) and may elect to continue the process of ACBC certification. See http://www.biblicalcounseling.com for information about ACBC and details on ACBC certification.
